iForum was created to bring together civic minded Indo-Americans to discuss the key issues facing our country and community, and to start the conversation of how we can be more active and empowered.

The Indo-American community in the United States has reached a critical juncture in its history. While we have achieved tremendous success and have also developed significant financial muscle, we have not yet developed commensurate political influence or made comparable contributions in public service. Building on the Indo-American community's success in creating business and social institutions such as The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), America India Forum (AIF) and the India Community Center (ICC) in the Bay Area, iForum provides an organization for political involvement and civic engagement.

Campaign '08:  An Inside Look at the Presidential Election

Sunday, September 21st, 3pm - 5pm

Featuring:

Dan Schnur - Director of USC's Jesse M. Unruh Institute of Politics, Political Commentator for the New York Times, and National Communications Director for John McCain's 2000 Presidential Campaign

Chris Lehane - Political Consultant, Press Secretary for Vice President Al Gore at the White House and 2000 Presidential Campaign, Spokesperson and lawyer for President Clinton at the White House

Get the inside scoop on the presidential race and lean how to see through the spin! Drawing from their own experiences on the campaign trail, the speakers will lead a discussion on how to analyze the election, evaluate the candidates, and make sound judgements as a voter. Gain insight into what Senators McCain and Obama are doing and why they're doing it. Plus, learn what you can do to get involved and mobilize support for your candidate.
